Wynn Al Marjan Island has revealed the completed beachfront, lagoon and offshore reef that will form part of the integrated resort destination on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah, marking another milestone in the project’s ongoing development.
The waterfront component spans a 550-metre shoreline and includes a private beach, sheltered lagoon and an engineered reef installed offshore to support marine habitat development. According to Wynn, the beachfront has been designed around three distinct zones that include Resort Beach, Adult Beach and Enclave Beach, offering a range of leisure experiences for future guests. The sheltered lagoon is planned for swimming and snorkelling, while paddleboarding and kayaking are also expected to be available. The beach offering will include 372 chaise lounges, 61 cabanas and three beach bungalows, one of which will feature a private plunge pool and dedicated butler service.
Commenting on the milestone, Max Tappeiner, President of Wynn Al Marjan Island, said, “Our ambition was to create a shoreline where guests can escape, somewhere they can swim in calm, clear water and enjoy the beachfront in complete privacy.” He added that the project represents Wynn Resorts’ first beachfront destination and provides an opportunity to introduce a new hospitality experience within the group’s global portfolio.
Alongside the beachfront works, Wynn said a network of engineered reef units has been installed offshore to encourage marine habitat growth. The company noted that coral and marine life have already begun establishing around the reef structures.
The project is being developed on Al Marjan Island in Ras Al Khaimah through a joint venture in which Wynn Resorts holds a 40% stake. Once completed, Wynn Al Marjan Island will feature approximately 1,530 rooms and suites, together with 22 restaurants, lounges and bars, a theatre, luxury retail offerings, a five-star spa, event facilities, pool areas, a beach club and private beachfront amenities.
The latest update follows Wynn Resorts’ recent confirmation that the resort is scheduled to open in September 2027. The company has also stated that the project’s estimated development cost now stands at approximately $5.7 billion, while construction continues across the site.
Wynn Resorts has previously disclosed that it has contributed $1.06 billion to the development joint venture to date.
