Shamal has unveiled The Grand, a new retail and lifestyle destination at Nad Al Sheba Gardens, marking the latest addition to the master-planned community as the developer continues to enhance its residential offering through integrated neighbourhood amenities.

Scheduled to open in phases from 19 August, The Grand is fully leased ahead of launch and has been designed to bring together premium retail, dining, wellness, healthcare and essential everyday services within the community. The destination forms part of Shamal’s long-term vision to create neighbourhoods that extend beyond residential development by integrating lifestyle infrastructure that supports day-to-day living.

Anchored by the first Waitrose & Partners store in Nad Al Sheba, The Grand has been conceived as a community-focused destination where residents can access shopping, dining, fitness and essential services within walking distance of their homes. The first phase of openings will include MMI, Heart Cottage Lane, Maple Bear Nursery, Al Jaber Optical and Fixperts.

A second phase, beginning in early September, will introduce a broader mix of restaurants, cafés and wellness brands, including Tashas, Somewhere, Home Bakery, Kokoro, Blu Pizzeria, Bake My Day, Daima, Staywell Pharmacy and Tips & Toes. Fitcode and American Hospital are expected to complete the health and wellness offering in early 2027.

Commenting on the launch, Abdulla Binhabtoor, Chief Executive Officer of Shamal Holding, said, “The Grand represents the next phase of Shamal’s long-term vision for Nad Al Sheba and for the communities we create. Thoughtful creation has shaped every aspect of the destination, not simply to offer convenience, but to elevate the everyday. More than a community mall, The Grand is a lifestyle destination designed to feel welcoming, connected and effortlessly part of daily life.”

The Grand forms an integral part of Shamal’s broader strategy for Nad Al Sheba Gardens, reflecting the company’s placemaking approach through destinations that combine residential living with curated lifestyle experiences. By embedding retail, healthcare, wellness and community services within the development, Shamal continues to strengthen the long-term liveability and value proposition of one of Dubai’s emerging residential communities.
