PRYPCO Mint has received a Category 1 Virtual Asset (VA) Issuance Licence from Dubai’s Virtual Assets Regulatory Authority (VARA). The licence allows the real estate tokenisation platform to issue asset-referenced virtual assets (ARVAs), the regulated structure behind tokenised real-world assets such as property. According to the company, the approval makes it one of three firms in Dubai authorised to issue ARVAs.

Under VARA’s issuance framework, Category 1 covers fiat-referenced and asset-referenced virtual assets. Issuers in this category must be licensed and comply in full with VARA’s rulebooks, including disclosure requirements on the assets backing their tokens.

PRYPCO Mint launched its tokenised property platform in strategic partnership with the Dubai Land Department (DLD). Since then, it has drawn investors from more than 50 nationalities.

What The Licence Allows

With the licence in place, PRYPCO Mint can issue regulated virtual assets backed by real-world assets and develop new tokenised investment products within Dubai’s virtual asset regulations. The company said it will now scale the issuance of tokenised real-world assets under VARA’s framework, for investors, institutions and strategic partners.

The company added that the approval supports its plan to become the leading real-world asset tokenisation platform across the Middle East and beyond.

“Securing a Category 1 VA Issuance Licence from VARA places us among a very small group of companies authorised to issue asset-referenced virtual assets in Dubai. More importantly, it provides the regulatory foundation required to scale tokenization responsibly, attract institutional participation and unlock broader access to real-world assets through a framework built on trust, transparency and compliance,” said Amira Sajwani, Founder and CEO of PRYPCO.

“As tokenization moves from concept to infrastructure, regulation becomes the defining differentiator,” she added. “This licence gives us the ability to build for the long term, expand access to high-quality real-world assets and help shape the future of regulated digital ownership from Dubai.”

Part of the wider PRYPCO platform

PRYPCO Mint sits within PRYPCO, the digital real estate ownership platform founded by Sajwani. The group’s other businesses include PRYPCO Blocks for fractional property investment, PRYPCO Mortgage for digital home financing, PRYPCO One for real estate agents, and PRYPCO Golden Visa and Will services.
