Parkin and Arada Launch Smart Parking at Aljada in Sharjah

Parkin Company has expanded into Sharjah through a strategic partnership with master developer Arada to introduce a smart paid parking system within Aljada.

The system, which comes into effect on July 15, 2026, marks Parkin’s first smart paid parking rollout in the Sharjah master community and supports the company’s wider move into developer-led destinations across the UAE.

The new parking platform will use Automatic Number Plate Recognition technology to provide a ticketless parking experience for residents and visitors. The system is designed to improve parking availability, simplify payments and support more efficient management of parking spaces across the growing mixed-use community.

The rollout will cover designated on-street, off-street and selected retail parking locations within Aljada. Residents will continue to receive the parking allocations outlined in their Sale and Purchase Agreements or Title Deeds, while additional parking will be managed under the new paid parking system.

On-street parking along Aljada’s East Boulevard will be charged at AED6.30 per hour inclusive of VAT and will operate 24 hours a day. Designated off-street parking areas and parking lots will be available at AED4.20 per hour inclusive of VAT between 8am and midnight.

Retail parking facilities at The Boulevard, Tiraz and Misk will offer visitors the first two hours free, after which a tariff of AED10 per hour will apply.

Residents will be able to manage parking subscriptions through Parkin’s digital platform, while visitors can pay through Parkin’s existing digital payment channels.

“By combining advanced technology with efficient parking management, we will enable a more seamless experience for residents and visitors while ensuring parking resources are used more effectively as Aljada continues to grow,” he said.

The partnership builds on Parkin’s long-term agreement with Arada to manage parking assets across Aljada. Under the broader framework, up to 9,900 parking spaces are expected to be phased in between 2026 and 2030, covering on-street, off-street, retail, commercial and residential parking assets.

For Aljada, the rollout adds another layer of operational infrastructure as the Sharjah master development continues to scale. For Parkin, it marks a significant step beyond its core Dubai parking operations and strengthens its role in technology-enabled mobility services across major UAE communities.
