Abu Dhabi’s branded residential market has gained a distinctive new chapter, bringing together waterfront living, football heritage and an expanding collection of family homes.
Ohana Development has launched Phase 2 of Manchester City Yas Residences by Ohana, its AED15 billion residential community along Yas Canal, adjacent to Yas Island.
The announcement, made during an event at Etihad Arena, also revealed Manchester City striker Erling Haaland as a homeowner in the development and former City manager Pep Guardiola as its official brand ambassador.
The second phase introduces two- and three-bedroom townhouses, duplex villas and four- and five-bedroom villas, with sales scheduled to begin on October 19, 2026.
Homes in the new phase range from 1,938 to 4,887 square feet, with two-bedroom townhouses carrying an average price of AED3.75 million, according to Ohana.
The wider project spans approximately 1.67 million square metres and is planned to accommodate more than 2,000 residences.
Construction has already begun, with the developer targeting phased delivery by 2029.
The latest launch follows a strong initial response to the development. Ohana reported that Phase 1 sold out within 72 hours of its release earlier in 2026.
One of the launch event’s highlights was a video appearance by Haaland, who announced that he had acquired a five-bedroom villa for his family.
His father, former Manchester City player Alfie Haaland, has also become a homeowner in the development.
Guardiola’s appointment as brand ambassador adds another connection between the residential project and the football club.
The launch event attracted more than 4,000 guests, including industry partners, brokers and senior representatives from the development and sporting sectors.
Beyond its residential offering, the masterplan includes Manchester City Park, planned as a central destination for recreation, outdoor activity and family experiences.
The development brings sporting and wellness facilities into the design of a large-scale residential neighbourhood, extending the Manchester City identity into everyday community living.
Husein Salem, CEO of Ohana Development, said the response to the first phase demonstrated buyer confidence in Abu Dhabi and the company’s vision for the project.
He added that the second phase would create opportunities for more families and investors to become part of a community combining distinctive homes with sporting and wellbeing amenities.
Manchester City Yas Residences reflects the growing range of branded residential concepts entering the UAE property market.
By linking residential design with sport, recreation and a globally recognised football identity, Ohana is positioning the development around a particular lifestyle proposition.
With Phase 2 now introduced and sales approaching, the project adds another significant residential offering to Abu Dhabi’s Yas Canal growth corridor.
