One of Dubai's longstanding residential neighbourhoods is beginning a new chapter, with Nakheel starting the handover of 892 homes at the redeveloped Jebel Ali Village.
The milestone brings residents into a reimagined version of a community that has been part of Dubai's residential landscape for decades, combining its established identity with contemporary homes, landscaping and amenities.
The development comprises a collection of villas and townhouses set within a low-density environment, with the masterplan placing greenery and outdoor living at the heart of the community.
Landscaped spaces, parks and recreational areas have been incorporated throughout the neighbourhood, alongside facilities designed to encourage an active and connected lifestyle. The community also benefits from its location near Sheikh Zayed Road, providing connectivity to key areas across Dubai.
The start of handovers represents an important stage in Nakheel's redevelopment of the site, moving Jebel Ali Village from construction into an active residential community.
For Dubai, the project also demonstrates how established neighbourhoods can be given a new identity while maintaining a connection to the places that formed part of the city's earlier growth.
Rather than creating an entirely new destination, the redevelopment brings contemporary residential design and community infrastructure to a location already familiar to generations of Dubai residents.
With 892 homes now entering the handover phase, Jebel Ali Village is once again becoming a lived-in neighbourhood; this time designed around a new generation of residents.
