Jamal Abdulla Lootah Appointed Group CEO of Cleanco Group

Cleanco Group of Companies has announced the appointment of Jamal Abdulla Lootah as its new Group Chief Executive Officer, marking a pivotal moment for the 40-year-old enterprise. A stalwart of the UAE’s facilities management (FM) industry, Lootah brings with him over three decades of strategic leadership and operational excellence.

Prior to joining Cleanco, Lootah served as Group CEO of Imdaad from 2007 to 2023. Under his leadership, Imdaad emerged as one of the UAE’s most prominent FM providers, boasting a 95% customer retention rate and major clients such as Nakheel and Dubai Municipality. His tenure saw consistent growth, culminating in Imdaad surpassing AED 1 billion in revenue in 2024.

In his new role, Lootah will oversee operations across Cleanco, Cleanco Waste Treatment, and ACECO. The company expects his appointment to catalyse the next phase of expansion, with a focus on sustainability, digitisation, and integrated service delivery—key trends shaping the regional FM sector.

Cleanco hailed the move on social media as “a bold step toward the future,” praising Lootah’s proven track record in driving transformation and innovation. His leadership is anticipated to energise competition in the FM market, particularly as Cleanco seeks to strengthen its presence and offerings.

Lootah also holds the position of President and Co-founder of the Middle East Facilities Management Association (MEFMA), where he continues to influence FM best practices across the region. His accolades include the FM Visionary Award 2023, SME Champion of the Year (Executive) 2023, and a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2014. Academically, Lootah holds a Business Administration degree from the University of London and has completed the Corporate Advanced Program at IMD Business School in Switzerland.

With this new chapter at Cleanco, Jamal Abdulla Lootah is poised to reinforce his legacy while steering the group through a dynamic and opportunity-rich FM landscape.
