Imdaad, a Dubai-based group of companies providing integrated, sustainable facilities management (FM) services to enhance operational efficiencies of physical assets, has announced Istidamah by Imdaad, its latest sustainability framework. Developed across a six-month period through active engagement of employees across the organization, Istidamah spans four all-inclusive pillars: ‘Public & Places’, ‘Planet’, ‘Prosperity’, and ‘People’. These pillars will guide and drive Imdaad, as it strives to play an ever-greater role in the prosperity of the UAE and the region, both within the FM industry and beyond.

Under the ‘Public & Places’ pillar, Imdaad will support the communities in which it operates by engaging with community stakeholders and protecting users from occupational risks.  It will also support UAE business and drive improvement in its ‘In Country Value’ performance and contribute 1% of profits to the community, through giving and volunteering.

Through the ‘Planet’ pillar, Imdaad will minimise its impact on the planet by reducing carbon emissions, implementing innovative recycling strategies, managing its biodiversity impacts, maximizing use of sustainable materials and reducing the clients’ water usage.

The ‘Prosperity’ pillar aims to contribute to the UAE economy by providing sustainable returns to shareholders and stakeholders, improving business margins, creating shareholder value sustainably, working with supply chains for mutually sustainable solutions, and delivering professional facilities management services. The ‘People’ pillar focuses on maintaining an inclusive and rewarding work environment by attracting, developing and retaining excellent people, providing industry leading worker welfare solutions and engagement initiatives, ensuring equal opportunities and creating an excellent workplace.

Jamal Abdulla Lootah, Group CEO of Imdaad, expressed his pride over this achievement for the group and its importance for its long-term sustainability efforts, stating, “We are thrilled to launch Istidamah by Imdaad during the UAE’s ‘Year of Sustainability’. This strategy will help us continue to establish a strong foundation towards a sustainable future in the nation and the wider region. At Imdaad, we believe that our sustainability efforts should be holistic and encompass our operations, customers, employees, and the wider community. We are confident that Istidamah will enable us to continue delivering world-class facilities management services while making a positive impact on countless businesses and communities.”
