HH Sheikh Hazza bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Ruler’s Representative in Al Ain Region, has reviewed the progress of the Al Dhaher Housing Project, one of the largest integrated housing developments currently under construction in Al Ain.
The project is being developed by LEAD Real Estate Developer under the supervision of the Abu Dhabi Housing Authority (ADHA) and the Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) as a public-private partnership aimed at delivering a comprehensive residential community for Emirati families.
During the site visit, HH Sheikh Hazza reviewed construction progress across the project’s various phases and toured model villas showcasing the architectural designs, facilities and services planned for the development. The project has been designed to support Abu Dhabi’s sustainable urban development objectives while preserving elements of traditional Emirati architecture and lifestyle.
HH Sheikh Hazza emphasised that providing suitable housing for citizens in Al Ain remains a strategic priority and highlighted the importance of developing integrated residential communities that balance heritage, quality of life and the evolving needs of Emirati families.
Spanning approximately 198 hectares in its first phase, the Al Dhaher Housing Project will comprise 1,000 villas with four-, five- and six-bedroom configurations. Residential plots range from 900 to 1,000 square metres, while villa built-up areas range between 430 and 530 square metres. The development carries a total investment value of AED 3.126 billion and is scheduled for completion in the fourth quarter of 2028.
Beyond residential units, the project includes a wide range of community infrastructure designed to support long-term liveability and resident wellbeing. Planned facilities include public and private schools, mosques, community centres, retail outlets, parks, sports facilities and recreational spaces.
The masterplan also incorporates pedestrian-friendly streets, cycling tracks, landscaped gardens and open green corridors that connect different parts of the community.
According to the project details, the architectural identity draws inspiration from Al Ain’s cultural and natural landmarks, including Jebel Hafeet, Al Ain Oasis, Mezyad Fort and Falaj Mezyad, aligning with broader efforts to preserve the city’s heritage while accommodating future growth.
Al Dhaher Housing Project forms part of Abu Dhabi’s wider strategy to enhance housing quality, support family stability and create integrated residential environments that contribute to the emirate’s long-term social and urban development objectives.
