Dubai's Rental Disputes Center Gets AED 1 Million to Expand Support for Tenants Facing Financial Hardship

The Rental Disputes Center (RDC) in Dubai has received a donation of AED 1 million from Dar Al Ber Society, allocated to its "Yad Al Khair" Committee. The committee provides financial assistance to tenants involved in rental disputes who are unable to meet their obligations due to financial hardship.

Support under the programme is assessed against defined criteria including social conditions, debt levels, income sources, prior payment history and required documentation. The initiative is framed as an institutional cooperation model between judicial and charitable entities, designed to extend assistance within a structured legal framework.

His Excellency Judge Abdulqader Mousa Mohammed, Chairman of the Rental Disputes Center, said the collaboration with Dar Al Ber Society reflected the RDC's broader commitment to strengthening partnerships with humanitarian organisations, noting the alignment with the UAE's Year of the Family 2026 agenda.

Hisham Al Hashemi, Board Member and Executive Vice President of Dar Al Ber Society, described the partnership as part of the organisation's strategy to expand cooperation with governmental and judicial bodies, adding that assistance would be delivered through transparent regulatory frameworks accounting for social, humanitarian and legal dimensions.

Judge Abdulaziz Anouhi, Appeal Judge and President of the Yad Al Khair Committee, said the donation would expand the committee's reach, particularly in cases where tenants face difficulty settling rental commitments.

The Yad Al Khair Committee operates within the RDC and handles the assessment and disbursement of humanitarian support to eligible beneficiaries involved in rental dispute proceedings.

Dar Al Ber Society is a Dubai-based charitable organisation working across social welfare, healthcare and humanitarian aid programmes in the UAE.
