Dubai real estate agency haus & haus has launched a campaign using property listings to help abandoned dogs and cats find permanent homes.

The agency has begun placing rescue animals into AI-generated home environments inspired by its actual property listings, allowing potential adopters to imagine what it could look like to bring a pet into their home.

The campaign is being run in partnership with K9 Friends and Animals & Us, a rescue organisation based in Fujairah. Around 50 rescue dogs and cats are expected to be featured on the haus & haus real estate portal, each with a short profile and a direct link to the relevant rehoming organisation.

According to Khaleej Times, it is the first time in the UAE that property listings are being used to support the rehoming of rescue animals.

The pets are shown in living rooms, kitchens and bedrooms, similar to the way homes are presented on real estate platforms. Each animal profile is modelled on the format of a property listing, giving users browsing homes the option to click through and enquire about adoption.

The initiative comes as animal welfare groups across the UAE report rising pressure from abandoned pets, with many shelters operating at or beyond capacity.

Among the pets currently listed is Gucci, a three-year-old Desert Cross male who has spent his life in the K9 Friends shelter. Another featured pet is Gordita, a one-year-old female Corgi Mix recently surrendered and looking for a patient home.

Lucy Nickerson, Marketing Director at haus & haus, said the idea came from the way people use property platforms to imagine future life changes.

“People visit our website every day imagining the next chapter of their lives. We realised that same journey could also help rescue animals begin theirs,” she said.

Charlie Bannan, Managing Director at haus & haus, said the campaign allowed the company to connect with customers while supporting a meaningful cause.

“We’re always looking for new ways to connect with our customers, and this gave us an opportunity to do something genuinely meaningful along the way,” he said.

For Dubai’s real estate sector, the campaign shows how property platforms can be used beyond traditional buying and renting journeys. By combining digital listings, AI-generated home visuals and direct adoption links, haus & haus is using its real estate reach to support animal welfare a
