Dubai Land Department (DLD) has concluded the fourth edition of Real Estate Day for Emirati Employment, bringing together UAE nationals, university students and more than 80 property companies to explore career opportunities across Dubai's real estate sector.
Held on 29 October 2026 at Address Sky View, the event focused on expanding Emirati participation in property development, brokerage and real estate services while strengthening cooperation between government entities, educational institutions and private-sector employers.
The event was organised in collaboration with the Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratisation, the Emirati Talent Competitiveness Council (Nafis), the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai and main sponsor Emaar.
Participating companies provided information about vacancies, recruitment requirements and professional pathways within the industry.
The gathering was attended by senior government and industry representatives, including Omar Hamad Bu Shehab, Director General of Dubai Land Department; Abdulla Ali bin Zayed Al Falasi, Deputy Chairman of the Emirati Human Resources Development Council in Dubai; Ahmad Al Room Almheiri, CEO of Dubai SME; and Jamal Bin Thaniah, Chairman of Emaar.
The event provided a direct recruitment platform while allowing companies to engage with prospective employees interested in different real estate specialisations.
Higher Colleges of Technology (HCT) participated in the event, highlighting its Real Estate Diploma developed in collaboration with Dubai Land Department.
Launched earlier in 2026, the programme combines academic instruction with practical workplace training.
It involves cooperation between educational institutions, government bodies and real estate companies in curriculum development, programme delivery and supervised training.
The diploma has attracted interest across HCT campuses in Dubai, Sharjah and Ras Al Khaimah.
HCT is also seeking to expand apprenticeship opportunities and strengthen pathways from education into employment.
The University of Dubai participated as part of efforts to improve cooperation between academic institutions and property-sector employers.
These initiatives are intended to address industry skills requirements while preparing Emirati graduates for specialised positions.
The fourth edition builds on Dubai Land Department's Real Estate Empowerment Programme, which helped create more than 2,100 employment opportunities for UAE nationals between 2023 and 2026.
The programme operates through partnerships with government entities and private-sector companies, supporting recruitment and professional development across the industry.
Omar Hamad Bu Shehab said the department remains focused on expanding opportunities for Emirati graduates and supporting their progression into specialised and leadership positions.
The initiative also aligns with the Dubai Economic Agenda D33 and the Dubai Real Estate Sector Strategy 2033, which identify workforce development as an important component of economic competitiveness.
Dubai Land Department said it will continue coordinating with participating companies to monitor the employment opportunities generated through the event.
This follow-up process is intended to support recruitment and assess how effectively participating employers connect with national talent.
Although more than 80 companies attended, the department has not yet announced the number of confirmed job placements resulting specifically from the fourth edition.
The event demonstrates how collaboration between property companies, regulators and educational institutions is being used to expand Emirati participation in Dubai's real estate workforce.
