BI Group has entered into a strategic collaboration with CITIC Middle East Contracting LLC to support the planning and construction of three upcoming real estate developments in Dubai.

The companies have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) establishing a framework for CITIC's proposed appointment as the main construction contractor across all three projects.

The agreement also introduces early-stage collaboration, allowing the contractor to contribute technical expertise during project design and planning.

Integrating Construction Expertise into Planning

Under the agreement, CITIC Middle East Contracting, the UAE subsidiary of China's CITIC Construction Co., Ltd., will work alongside BI Group's development teams to assess project requirements.

The collaboration will cover technical support, value engineering, cost optimisation and construction coordination.

By involving construction specialists before building activities begin, the companies aim to improve coordination between the design and execution stages.

This approach can help development teams identify practical construction considerations earlier, assess project requirements and make more informed decisions about materials, processes and delivery methods.

Supporting Quality and Cost Efficiency

The partnership reflects the growing importance of integrated project planning in Dubai's real estate development sector.

Early contractor involvement can help align architectural concepts with construction requirements, supporting more efficient decision-making throughout the development process.

For BI Group, the collaboration provides access to CITIC's technical capabilities as it prepares to advance its upcoming projects.

CITIC's proposed role as main contractor would extend that relationship into the construction phase, subject to the arrangements established under the MoU.

The agreement is therefore an important preparatory milestone, although it does not itself confirm that final construction contracts have been awarded.

Expanding Development Collaboration in Dubai

Dubai continues to attract partnerships between international developers and construction companies seeking to participate in its residential and mixed-use development market.

The BI Group–CITIC agreement brings together development planning and construction expertise at an early stage, with the intention of improving project coordination.

While the companies have confirmed that the collaboration covers three upcoming developments, the announcement does not specify their locations, individual investment values or construction completion dates.

As the projects progress through planning, the partnership is expected to provide a framework for technical cooperation and potential construction delivery.

The agreement represents another example of developers placing greater emphasis on collaboration during the initial stages of real estate development, with quality, efficiency and coordinated execution central to the process.
