Azizi Developments has announced a major workforce accommodation initiative across Dubai and Sharjah, with new master-planned residential communities designed to house more than 31,000 workers upon completion.
Unveiled in October 2026, the programme introduces an integrated approach to workforce housing, combining residential facilities with healthcare services, vocational training, recreational spaces and dining infrastructure.
The initiative forms part of Azizi's broader focus on worker welfare and environmental, social and governance priorities, while supporting its expanding construction and manufacturing operations.
The largest development is planned for Al Sajaa in Sharjah, where a residential community will accommodate more than 20,000 personnel.
The masterplan includes 36 residential buildings organised around four neighbourhood hubs.
Facilities will include five medical clinics, a pharmacy and a central supermarket, providing residents with access to essential services within the community.
An 18,945-square-foot Training and Community Centre is also planned, with capacity for more than 400 personnel attending technical and safety programmes.
Additional features include landscaped courtyards and dedicated transport infrastructure with parking bays for 155 buses.
The development is located alongside Azizi's manufacturing operations in Al Sajaa, which occupy more than one million square feet of production facilities.
By positioning workforce accommodation close to industrial operations, the company aims to reduce lengthy commutes and improve coordination across its construction supply chain.
Alongside the Sharjah project, Azizi is developing purpose-built accommodation centres in Dubai's Jebel Ali Industrial 1 district.
The Dubai facilities will cover more than 137,000 square metres and are designed to accommodate over 9,700 workers collectively.
Planned amenities include indoor gymnasiums, medical clinics, recreational lounges and dining facilities.
The communities will offer both catered meals and dedicated kitchens for residents who prefer to prepare their own food.
This combination is intended to provide greater flexibility in daily living arrangements while supporting workers' health and wellbeing.
According to Azizi, enabling and shoring works are already underway at the Jebel Ali sites.
Site preparation at Al Sajaa is scheduled to begin later in October 2026.
The company expects the developments to be delivered in phases through late 2027.
Farhad Azizi, Group CEO of Azizi Group, highlighted the importance of providing supportive living environments for frontline construction teams.
He emphasised that access to healthcare, professional development and recreational facilities forms an important part of the company's workforce accommodation strategy.
The planned communities reflect an approach to workforce housing that integrates accommodation with services supporting daily life and professional development.
For Azizi, the projects also complement its vertically integrated construction model, which combines property development with manufacturing and other supporting operations.
The accommodation programme is intended to improve access to essential facilities while bringing workers closer to key operational locations.
As construction progresses, the developments are expected to add substantial purpose-built workforce housing capacity across Dubai and Sharjah.
