Two residential projects in Meydan have reached new construction milestones as development activity continues across one of Dubai’s expanding residential corridors.
Amwaj Development has reported that The Cube Residences is now 50% complete, while Gate Eleven has reached 35% completion, providing an update on two projects at different stages of construction in MBR District 11.
The Cube Residences is further along, with construction progressing towards the later stages of the development programme. The project comprises one- and two-bedroom residences in a low-rise format and is planned around flexible interiors and smart-home features.
Gate Eleven, meanwhile, is progressing through its structural phase.
The four-building development will offer one- and two-bedroom homes overlooking the lagoon within Meydan District 11. Construction formally began earlier this year, with the project scheduled for completion in Q1 2028.
The significance of the construction update extends beyond the two individual projects.
Meydan is experiencing substantial residential development, making infrastructure and connectivity increasingly important to the area’s longer-term property proposition.
In August, Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority awarded contracts worth AED1.161 billion for the Al Meydan Street Development Project. The programme covers approximately 17 kilometres of roads and 3.7 kilometres of bridges alongside cycling infrastructure.
For existing and upcoming residential developments, those improvements could strengthen connections with other parts of Dubai as the district’s population grows.
The updates at The Cube Residences and Gate Eleven also reflect an increasingly important theme for Dubai real estate.
With a large volume of off-plan property already sold or under development, buyers are paying attention not only to what developers launch next but also to how existing projects progress towards completion.
Amwaj Founder and Chairman Emad Saleh said the two developments represent different stages of construction, with one moving towards its final phases while the other makes structural progress.
For Meydan, that progress is part of a much bigger transformation.
New homes are being constructed alongside major transport upgrades, gradually turning a substantial development pipeline into an increasingly established residential district.
