Aldar has recorded more than AED5 billion in sales across two new Abu Dhabi residential launches, highlighting continued buyer demand for waterfront homes on Saadiyat and Yas Islands.
The sales were generated through Talay at Marsa Al Saadiyat and Yas Riva Reserve, two communities targeting different parts of Abu Dhabi’s residential market.
Talay is the first residential community within Marsa Al Saadiyat, while Yas Riva Reserve is a gated waterfront community located to the northeast of Yas Island.
One of the more notable figures behind the AED5 billion total is the number of buyers who had not previously purchased from Aldar.
First-time Aldar customers accounted for 54% of buyers, suggesting the launches attracted a substantial new customer base rather than relying primarily on existing investors and homeowners.
UAE nationals represented 31% of buyers, while expatriate residents and overseas purchasers accounted for the remaining 69%.
Buyers from the UAE, UK, Russia, Jordan and India were among the leading nationalities by sales volume. Meanwhile, 55% of buyers were under 45, and women represented 30% of purchasers.
The performance adds to a broader period of significant residential sales activity for Aldar.
The developer recorded AED12.1 billion in group development sales during the first half of 2026, with its development revenue backlog reaching AED71.6 billion at the end of June. Of that backlog, AED59.9 billion related to the UAE.
The latest sales figures were announced as Abu Dhabi hosted the inaugural LIVEX event, but the underlying numbers point to a wider property-market story: buyers continue to commit substantial capital to new waterfront communities across the emirate.
For Aldar, the AED5 billion generated across two launches also provides another indicator of the depth of demand across Saadiyat and Yas Islands, two locations that continue to account for a significant share of Abu Dhabi’s new residential pipeline.
