Ajman recorded 73,472 tenancy contracts worth AED2.91 billion during the first half of 2026, highlighting continued demand across the emirate's residential and commercial rental market.
According to data released by the Ajman Municipality & Planning Department, the figures underscore the emirate's growing appeal as a destination for living, investment and business activity, while supporting the objectives of Ajman Vision 2030 to enhance economic competitiveness and attract investment.
H.E. Abdulrahman Mohammed Al Nuaimi, Director General of the Ajman Municipality & Planning Department, said the emirate continues to strengthen its position as an attractive destination for residents and investors through a combination of flexible legislation, advanced infrastructure and smart services.
He noted that ongoing efforts to improve service delivery and streamline customer journeys are contributing to quality of life improvements while supporting sustainable economic development.
"The results achieved reflect growing confidence in Ajman's economic and investment environment," H.E. Al Nuaimi said, adding that the emirate's development initiatives continue to support growth across multiple sectors.
The latest figures indicate sustained activity within Ajman's rental sector, reflecting continued demand from both residents and businesses seeking cost-effective alternatives within the UAE's real estate landscape.
H.E. Yousuf Mohammed Al Shaiba, Executive Director of the Rental Regulation Sector, said the department remains focused on enhancing the rental ecosystem through digital transformation and regulatory improvements.
He noted that smart technologies and advanced systems are being deployed to accelerate transaction processing, simplify procedures and improve transparency across tenancy-related services.
For real estate stakeholders, the figures provide further evidence of Ajman's growing role within the UAE property market, particularly as affordability, infrastructure upgrades and government-led service enhancements continue to support long-term demand.
