A branded residential project on Abu Dhabi’s Al Reem Island is moving into full-scale construction following the award of an AED790 million ($215 million) main works contract.

Royal Development Holding, in partnership with SAAS Properties, has appointed Fibrex LLC as the main contractor for Seamont Autograph Collection Residences.

This follows the completion of enabling works and establishes a defined construction programme for the waterfront development.

Construction Begins in October

Main construction is scheduled to begin in October 2026, with Fibrex working to a 27-month programme.

Completion is targeted for December 2028.

The project is being developed by Royal Development Holding; a subsidiary of Emirates Stallions Group alongside SAAS Properties and will operate within Marriott International’s Autograph Collection branded-residential portfolio.

Located on Al Reem Island, the waterfront development draws design inspiration from the surrounding mangrove environment and is positioned with views towards Saadiyat Island’s cultural district.

Branded Residences Expand in Abu Dhabi

The construction award comes as branded residential development continues to gain ground across Abu Dhabi’s premium property market.

Al Reem Island has become an increasingly active part of that expansion, combining an established residential population with a growing pipeline of new waterfront and branded projects.

For Seamont, the significance of the latest announcement is that the project is now progressing beyond preparatory works into its principal construction phase.

Tariq Nazzal, CEO of Royal Development Holding, said the contract award represents a key milestone as the development moves into full-scale construction.

Ahmed Bin Mohammed Al Qassimi, CEO of SAAS, said Fibrex’s technical experience was an important consideration in selecting the contractor, while Fibrex Managing Director Sufyan Saleh said the company would focus on disciplined execution and construction quality.

With a AED790 million construction contract and December 2028 completion target now established, the project adds another defined delivery timeline to Abu Dhabi’s growing pipeline of branded waterfront residences.
