Abu Dhabi’s expanding infrastructure programme is creating new opportunities for international cooperation, bringing global investment expertise into the planning and delivery of projects that will shape the emirate’s future.

The Abu Dhabi Projects and Infrastructure Centre (ADPIC) has signed a strategic partnership with PATRIZIA, an international real assets investment manager, to explore cooperation in infrastructure investment and project development.

The agreement was signed on October 8, 2026, during the Abu Dhabi Infrastructure Summit International Roadshow at EXPO REAL in Munich, Germany.

Supporting an AED200bn-Plus Project Pipeline

ADPIC coordinates the planning, governance and delivery of approximately 500 capital projects valued at more than AED200 billion, equivalent to over US$56 billion.

The programme spans housing, transport, education, cultural facilities, social infrastructure and other urban systems that support Abu Dhabi’s long-term development.

Under the new partnership, ADPIC and PATRIZIA will examine how international investment capabilities and private-sector participation can support the emirate’s infrastructure priorities.

The agreement establishes a framework for cooperation rather than a commitment to finance a specified project or investment amount.

Exploring Private Capital and Global Expertise

The two organisations will exchange knowledge on infrastructure financing, delivery models and international best practices.

Their cooperation will include discussions on public-private partnership structures, potential investment and co-investment opportunities, market research, benchmarking and technical studies.

The partnership also aims to connect Abu Dhabi’s infrastructure ecosystem with specialist capabilities and international investors.

His Excellency Eng. Maysarah Mahmoud Salim Eid, Director General of ADPIC, said the partnership would help explore how PATRIZIA’s international experience could support private-sector participation, strengthen project delivery and create long-term value.

Building on Established Relationships

PATRIZIA has worked with institutional investors and partners in Abu Dhabi for approximately 15 years.

Its recently established permanent presence in the Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM) has further strengthened its regional operations and relationships.

Asoka Wöhrmann, CEO of PATRIZIA, highlighted Abu Dhabi’s growing importance as a destination for long-term investment and infrastructure development.

He said the partnership provides an opportunity for PATRIZIA to contribute its experience in real assets while expanding its established relationships across the emirate.

Connecting Infrastructure With Long-Term Growth

The agreement forms part of Abu Dhabi’s broader effort to engage international investors and technical partners in its capital-project programme.

By bringing together public-sector project coordination and private-sector investment expertise, the partnership could support future opportunities across infrastructure financing and development.

For Abu Dhabi’s construction and real estate sectors, the initiative reflects the importance of connecting large-scale infrastructure planning with the expertise and capital needed to advance long-term urban development.
